This one goes out to the one I love; this one goes out to the one I left behind

So I've been thinking about Homecoming Royalty and how I'm sure there were some people who really cared about it, how there were probably people who really wanted to win... but there I am smack dab in the middle of it all.

I never had those dreams of popularity or "dance royalty." And now that I'm there, I still don't care if I win. It is exciting though, I'll give them that. There's a certain amount of glamour involved with it. I can see why somebody would care about it. But what I guess I'm trying to say is that if I do win, I'm doing it for all of you guys. The only real reason that I'd want to win, is to show the world a guy like me did it.

I don't think I'm the "Homecoming King" type, and that's what's grand about it. I'm representing the Thespians, I'm representing guys like me. So if by some chance I do win, I still won't care, but I just wanted to say it's going out to you guys because you're the ones who wanted me to win. Thanks.
