I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away

Haven't been around for a while; I've been way too busy. Just wanted to say I'm still around, I'm still feeling good, still holding strong. I'm happier than ever.

--------------------------
I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph; I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

Cause Im broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away

The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high, you steal my pain away
There’s so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

Cause Im broken when I’m open
And I dont feel like I am strong enough
Cause Im broken when I’m lonesome
And I dont feel right when you’re gone away

Cause Im broken when I’m open
And I dont feel like I am strong enough
Cause Im broken when I’m lonesome
And I dont feel right when you’re gone away

Now the man of the hour is taking his final bow

So, it's hitting me more and more every day that now I'm a senior and this is my last year. In multimedia the other day we listened to "Man of the Hour" by Pearl Jam and when he said the line: "Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow;" it hit me, the day is not too far off when I'll take my final bow at Mountain View. I'll no longer be acting there. All the things I've grown used to, all the things I know, won't matter anymore because I'm walking away from this place and I can never come back. Everything will change. I keep thinking about One Acts, I've acted in them the past two years, but I won't be this year. I'm playing by new rules, but the game is almost over. It's almost time to take my final bow.

-------------------------------------

Tidal waves don't beg forgiveness
Crashed and on their way
Father he enjoyed collisions; others walked away
A snowflake falls in may.
And the doors are open now as the bells are ringing out
Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow
Goodbye for now.

Nature has its own religion; gospel from the land
Father ruled by long division, young men they pretend
Old men comprehend.

And the sky breaks at dawn; shedding light upon this town
They'll all come ‘round
Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow
G'bye for now.

And the road
The old man paved
The broken seems along the way
The rusted signs, left just for me
He was guiding me, love, his own way
Now the man of the hour is taking his final bow
As the curtain comes down
I feel that this is just g'bye for now
